Friedensengel (Peace Angel Monument)

There is only a narrow pedestrian/bicycle path here. In the future, the Markt-Schwaben cycle expressway will run here. Today we would rather take the Max-Joseph Bridge after Bogenhausen.

The Friedensdenkmal in the Bogenhausen district of Munich is a memorial commemorating the 25th anniversary of the peace agreement after the end of the German-French War of 1870-71.

It is the Angel of Peace. The golden statue on top of a pillared temple towers over the Prince Regent Terrace, which offers beautiful views of the city and new perspectives. The entire complex is a memorial to the 25 years of peace after the German-French War of 1870/71.
