Notre-Dame des Auzils Chapel

Interesting place to commemorate the lost sailors. Great view.

This small chapel is mentioned as early as the 11th century, but it has only had its current look since 1635. It can be reached via a mountain path where many religious monuments have been erected on the right and left. Many elements of shipping testify to the fact that the chapel u.a. the purpose was to protect fishermen and other seafarers.

The old seafaring chapel of Notre-Dame des Auzils, a place where the people of the region have commemorated their loved ones at sea for centuries. A special place.

It can be reached either on foot from the valley or via the parking lot above or below. Unfortunately not open all the time.
