In the small town of Roßdorf there is a small castle. In the former moated castle, which was mentioned in documents as early as 780, there are now holiday apartments and a small campsite on the site. The castle is a two-storey residential building, mainly from around 1600, the portal of the stair tower from 1713. The castle was saved in the great fire of 1895, but most of the outbuildings and outbuildings were destroyed. The Geysosche Castle still shows a coat of arms of its original owners carved in stone above the entrance.

We were camping with the bikes for one night in Roßdorf. The reception was very warm and we felt very comfortable here in the castle park! An absolute recommendation comes from the heart - if you are in the area you should not miss the night(s) in the park of the "Geysoschen Schloss". 👍
