The Spire – a steel spire in Wrocław, near the Centennial Hall, erected in 1948 for the Recovered Territories Exhibition (WZO). The structure measures 90.3 meters (originally 106 meters).It symbolized the rebirth of life in the Recovered Territories, and its mirrored structure was intended to create lighting effects. Destroyed by a storm just before the opening of the exhibition, it was repeatedly preserved and renovated. The Spire is one of the most characteristic symbols of Wrocław.
