Günne is a district of the municipality of Möhnesee in the district of Soest. To commemorate the time of the Hudegenossenschaft, a group of figures “Der Günner Heuer” was erected on the village square in 1999. At this point the hired man had collected the herd of cattle twice a day during the summer months – in the morning from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and in the afternoon from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – in order to drive them to the dogs.
