Historic Farmhouses of Baumberger Sandstone

The Uphoven farming community is the source region of the Stever. Access to fresh drinking water and the fertile soils on the slopes of the Baumberge are the reason why the first people to migrate to the Westphalian Bight settled here on one of these slopes. The farms in this valley are often several hundred years old.

This highlight is on the SteverLandRoute, the family cycle path in the region. The cycle path accompanies the little Stever through the Münsterland for around 70km. From Nottuln to Haltern am See, 14 participation stations along the route invite young and old people to discover nature on the Stever together. If you like, you can drive from station to station with the discovery map specially developed for the Steverland route, collect coins and become a Stever expert. In particularly beautiful places, picnic tables and meadow sofas are available for cozy breaks on the Stever. Take a look at our collection :)
