The Huy ("Hüh", from Old High German for height, also Huywald) between Dardesheim and Schwanebeck in the district of Harz in Saxony-Anhalt is a to 314.8 m above sea level. NHN high ridge in the northern Harz foreland.
The Huy is located in the northern part of the district of Harz, about 10 km northwest of Halberstadt between Dardesheim in the west and Schwanebeck in the east, mainly in the area of the Huy municipality of the same name; small southern parts are in the urban area of Halberstadt. The villages such as Badersleben, Anderbeck, Dingelstedt and Eilenstedt (to the north; to Huy) as well as Sargstedt, Aspenstedt and Athenstedt (to the south; to Halberstadt) are with the exception of Huy- Neinstedt, Wilhelmshall, Mönchhai and Röderhof (all to Huy) around the range of hills, but partly reach up to its slopes.
The Huy extends from east to west over a length of around 12 km and from north to south over a width of around 3 km.
