The Apollo Grannus Temple was opened to the public in 1987 as an open-air museum.
This imposing structure of 1000 square meters is the largest Roman temple building north of the Alps. The excavations not only uncovered a double columned hall, a podium temple with a vestibule and ramp, but also the foundations of neighboring large buildings, where the Roman roads leading to Faimingen converged in a forum.
