Katharina said everything important, but a walk up there is worth it because of the wide views of the neighboring villages.

The Rothenberge house, sometimes also called Villa Jordaan - van Heek, is a representative villa in a scenic location on the Rothenberg hilltop. It is designed in the style of an 18th-century maison de plaisance and was built between 1920 and 1921 according to plans by the architect Alfred Hensen. Clients were the banker Jan Jordaan (1863–1935) and his wife Engelbertha (“Bertha”), née van Heek (1876–1960).[1] The elegant plaster building is covered with a mansard roof. The corner pilaster strips are grooved, the balcony porch is semicircular. The complex also includes a tea house with a thatched roof. The interior is in the French Rococo style. The villa is currently used by the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster as a country home and for scientific conferences and seminars.Source:
