La Romieu, classified among the "most beautiful villages of France" is an important stage of the roads of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, being at the crossroads of the roads starting from Puy and Rocamadour. Its collegiate church is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, but the village is also renowned for its many rosebushes and gardens, notably that of Coursiana. In summer, every Monday, a local farmers' market is held on the main square.
