The Pont d'Artigues is part of the Camino de Santiago and the GR 65 long-distance hiking trail, which leads from Le Puy-en-Velay in Auvergne to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in the Pyrenees and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The brick arch bridge, built in 1724, stands at a point that was probably already used as a river crossing by the Roman road Agen to Eauze and Aire-sur-l’Adour. The building from the 18th century was renovated in the 1950s.

The bridge is almost 30 meters long and almost three meters wide. It is asymmetrical and consists of a large main arch flanked by two small arches. On the east side there is also another large arch that is missing on the west side.

Again and again on the pilgrimage route to St. James (Chemin de Saint Jacques) - like here on the stage from Condom to Eauze - valleys have to be crossed and rivers to be crossed. The bridges are sometimes comparatively modern, sometimes medieval and sometimes even older in origin. But always, and this is the main thing, they bring – of course not only, but also us pilgrims – safely to the other side.

The Artigues Bridge, also called the Artigue Bridge , spans the Osse , a tributary river on the right bank of the Gélise .
