On January 3, 1912, work started on the third bridge for our city. It was the first bridge in Elche to be built with reinforced concrete and also the first in Spain with a single reinforced concrete arch formed by a central vault with a span of 50m. The bridge was inaugurated on April 20, 1913, thus connecting the urban center of the city to the Ensanche de Poniente
