A great way through the jungle in the Rheinauen. Fun for young and old. However, you should be physically fit enough to be able to climb over obstacles.

The wilderness trail is a total highlight for children!
      Exciting and varied!!!
Paths, footbridges, bridges, roots, fallen trees. There's a lot to discover there.
There are balancing poles at the beginning of the path. Skill is required!
There is also a lot to hear about animals
A great trail for adults too!
Please note: the path is designed as a "one-way street"!

Walkers experience a jungle atmosphere and a sense of adventure on the unspoilt floodplain wilderness path near Altenheim in Neuried. Since 2014, the approximately 2.5-kilometer-long path has meandered through the Rheinauen landscape. Along gigantic willows, poplars and oaks as well as wild meadows and frog ponds, it goes past the Altrhein right through the green idyll. Fallen tree trunks, wooden bridges and climbing opportunities become playgrounds for little guests. The path encourages you to pause, listen and observe: frog and bird concerts, blue and green dragonflies that thrive in the sunshine, and numerous plants along the path delight nature lovers. The jetty with a shallow bathing area offers pleasant refreshment. With small breaks to linger and discover, you should plan around two to three hours of walking time for the route. Parking is available at the European Forum on the Rhine. There is also a bus connection.
