In 1635, the plague raged in Leiberg, about 400 people died of the disease. Since the many dead could not all be buried in the cemetery in Wünnenberg one chose the location of the Wüstung Fornhalte as a resting place. Only seven Leibergers have survived the plague according to tradition. In the cemetery there is an iron book in which one can read the events.

I find this place for a cemetery, very nicely chosen. Everything was thought of with history, crosses, commemorative places and even benches with tables.
