The boatman's mast is an attraction on the waterway junction adventure trail.
In February 1949, 12 inland boatmen from Minden and the surrounding area founded the association.
-They were mainly employed by the federal towing company or in the Weser shipping company.
The name "Hol fast" was chosen as a symbol of holding on to traditions, to our profession and to the camaraderie among colleagues.
