The Marienkirche is a church built in East Westphalian Minden and dates back to the end of the 10th century founded in Minden Marienstift. Around 1022, the construction of the church began and gradually expanded. Initially still without a tower, this was later west to the actual church, which has been a Protestant parish church since the Reformation.

The Marienkirche in the city of Minden is an unmistakable landmark of the city. In addition to the church services, concerts are also held here. It is an "open church" and is open Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

St. Mary's Church in Minden was formerly the monastery church of the Benedictines, whose monastery was moved to Minden around the year 1000. In the second half of the 12th century, the church was built as a cruciform, single-aisled structure and expanded in the 14th century to become a two-bay hall church. The tower was built from 1255 on a base area of 12 x 12 meters and reaches a height of around 60 meters. It is a landmark of the city of Minden. The tower roof dates from the end of the 19th century. Inside the church, Romanesque groin vaults can still be found in the central and transept nave between round-arched belts. In the high Gothic parts of St. Mary's Church, the ceiling vaults are rib vaults. St. Mary's Church suffered severe damage in the Second World War. From the monastery, which was converted into a women's convent in 1421 and dissolved in 1810,
a wall from the south wing of the cloister is still preserved in the new building of the "Marienstift" community center, which was built in 1974.
