    "Junge Hirschkopf" nature reserve

The "Junge Hirschkopf" nature reserve, which stretches to the left of the Prims between Säugrube andiefenfels, is characterized by gorge forests rich in precious wood. The steep slopes accompanying the valley and bizarre rock spurs belong geologically to the Upper Red Lying (also called Wadern layers), a conglomerate rock from the Permian Age. Due to the rare plants, ferns, mosses and lichens that still exist here, the area was placed under nature protection in 1989. Source text: information board

This section of the "Path of Water" leads along a steep slope through a forest with old beech trees. The rocks that rise up on the path at regular intervals give the impression that nature has created a sculpture path for hikers here.
