Kreuzpullach was first mentioned in a document in 778. The large church of the Holy Cross, cemetery and the small castle next to it (former beneficiary house) characterize the striking townscape of Kreuzpullach together with the three large farms. The Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche is a pilgrimage church built around 1709/10 on the site of a previous building that was documented as early as 778. The church belongs as a branch church to the parish of St. Bartholomäus in Deisenhofen. The pilgrimage still takes place in the form of a petition for the feast of the Finding of the Cross (May 3). Right next to the church and forming an assembly with it is the two-story beneficiary house, also built around 1710 as a small palace for Joseph Martin Cleer.
