The protected St. Anne's Church is located in Wetteren-ten-Ede, one of Wetteren's oldest neighborhoods. It is centrally situated in the village center at the intersection with the Sacred Heart statue, the parish hall, and the former rectory.
The neighborhood is bordered to the south by the Scheldt River, to the north by the municipality of Laarne, while to the west, an old Scheldt arm forms a marshy buffer zone with the municipalities of Melle and Heusden.
Initially, the neighborhood was only accessible by ferry across the Scheldt, which was also impractical during storms.
