You're met with a great view if you've gone off the main trail following the small river/stream. There is a beautiful waterfall (depending on time of year) careful though if you venture too far it's a sheer drop. Follow the route around to go down to Hayfield (following either an around route or over and down)

While on top of the Kinder plateau it feels really far from civilization, the view of the man-manager lake is a clear reminder that the peak is not really a wild area.
