Waldnaabtal nature reserve
Wildly romantic and original
A natural beauty of the Upper Palatinate - the Waldnaabtal is a symbiosis of water, forest and stone.
Boisterous, wild and fascinatingly beautiful: all nature lovers should definitely see the Waldnaabtal nature reserve in the Upper Palatinate Forest. A mini-canyon, around 12 kilometers long, stretches between Falkenberg Castle and Neuhaus Castle. Impressive rock formations such as the Kammerwagen, the butter churn or the Gletschermühle fire the imagination. Those who dare can scramble over Granti blocks on the bank path, hop over small watercourses or dare to cross the Waldnaab on narrow bridges - an adventure playground for children and the young at heart.
A good snack is a must: The log cabin is located in the heart of the valley and is known for its good food and wonderful beer garden. In the summer months it is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Just the right thing on hot days because you can always refresh yourself. Children have a lot of fun here and can jump from stone to stone, just great!
