The new church in Oberndorf was completed in 1910. The plans for this church building came from the Linz cathedral master builder Matthäus Schlager. The single-nave church with a north tower and a retracted chancel has a strict façade structure with double palisades and large arched windows. In the west facade, in a niche, is the figure of Saint Rupert from the second half of the 17th century. The high altar from 1829 comes from the old St. Nicholas Church, the altarpiece by Christian Wink (1775) shows Saint Nicholas kneeling in front of the Trinity. The statuettes of the four church fathers on the pulpit by Johannes Piger (1908) and the Stations of the Cross reliefs from the workshop of Jakob Adelhardt (1906) are considered special gems. The organ comes from Albert Mauracher (1913), whose ancestors were once instrumental in spreading the song "Silent Night! Holy Night!" contributed.

The Nikolaus church on this site is a new building from 1910, which became necessary because the old church, which stood where the Silent Night memorial chapel now stands, was occupied by the terrible floods of 1896, 1897 and 1899.
