The prehistoric Herlingsburg (3rd to 1st century BC) was probably located with high ramparts on the Herlingsberg mountain cone, an ideal position to protect oneself from attackers. The dimensions of the castle are impressive. The rampart goes down a long way and you have an excellent view of the landscape.
