First tour after the flat rear tire. The friendly mechanic from BikeFactory Aarburg pulled a mandrel out of the tire.

Today the tour led from Melano via Mendrisio to Paradiso. At Paradisio it's high. This is on a wonderful trail via the picturesque town of Carona to Parco san Grato.

All in all, a nice trail that can be ridden in a relaxed manner, with a perfect view of Lake Lugano.

The botanical park has a unique natural ambience that gives the visitor the impression of entering an enchanted world, where colors and scents give an unforgettable experience. The largest and most diverse collection of azaleas, rhododendrons and conifers in the insubric region thrives on the total area of 200,000 square meters of the Parco San Grato. It is located between San Salvatore and Monte Arbostora, approx. 10 km from Lugano, at 690 meters above sea level. and offers a unique view of the immediate surroundings, Lake Lugano and the peaks of the Alps. A unique experience of nature awaits the visitor here. Five themed trails lead through the large azalea and rhododendron trees. Botany, relaxation, panorama, art and fairy tales. The sensory path was created in 2017 for the 60th anniversary of the park. Each of these trails invite visitors to discover the different seasonal aspects of the park. The playground is easily accessible and is located in the heart of the park among rare and impressive conifers. Here the children will find numerous opportunities to play and the adults can relax.
