  • The Struckhof windmill, also known as the Schnathorst windmill and Kröger's mill (mill route no. 35), is picturesquely situated on a hill above Wulferdingsen and Bröderhausen/Großenberken on the north-eastern edge of the Schnathorst district of Hüllhorst. From here you have a wonderful view of the lower Werretal and further south. From the mill you can easily reach the wall gap for crossing the Wiehengebirge without extreme climbs.

  • The Wallholländer from 1883 was operated with wind power until it was damaged by a storm in 1938. From 1920 there was also a petrol engine, replaced by a suction gas engine from 1929. From 1951, the wings, the hood and the entire wind drive were gradually dismantled and removed. After the end of commercial milling in 1970, the mill was only used for personal needs and a country store was also run. Since the restoration was completed (1993), the mill has once again shone in its old splendour: with a high mill tower, hood, wind-capable sails (23 m in diameter), compass rose and functional wind drive. For years there were regular mill days with hospitality and hang-glider meetings on the meadow west of the mill. In recent years, apparently after a change of ownership, there have been no more events at the mill. The well-known internet address windmuehle-struckhof.de is currently for sale. The outdoor area is still freely accessible.
