1949 The painter, sculptor and graphic artist Franz Karl Kothe initiated the construction of the Goethe monument in Coswig in honor of the 200th birthday of J. W. Goethe. He created the bronze bust for this monument. The pedestal was made by the Coswiger Steinmetz Kulbe.
