Stolpe is a district of the municipality of Stolpe an der Peene (Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania). In the idyllic place you will find a lot of historically interesting and worth seeing, for me the whole place was very impressive and beautiful to linger. You can also sit comfortably in the harbor or go on a boat trip.
You will find in Stolpe:
Monastery ruins (1153, first monastery in Pomerania), harbor with jetty, water hikers resting place, boat rental, ferry jug, blacksmith's shop, Dörphus, Wartislaw memorial church, chain ferry, nature park Peenetal river landscape, ...
We came from Quilow and took the chain ferry across. In the past it was still cranked, now it is driven by a motor. Perhaps my pictures will make you want to visit the place, the most pleasant thing to do here and in the surrounding area is on foot.

Ferryman get over - with the clapper comes the nice gentleman and pick you up. But not between 12:00 and 12:45 - there is Mittach!

The village of Stolpe, located directly on the Peene, is definitely worth a visit. There is a lot of history here: monastery (ruin), manor and old ferry jug. In summer you can even swim in the river.
