The office building was built in 1790 as a farm building. The design came from the Prussian chief building officer David Gilly, who had it built as part of the conversion of Steinhöfel Castle. It was used as an office building until 1945, then for apartments and later as the headquarters of the LPG. After reunification, it stood empty for a while and was then converted into a residential and commercial building. The building is under monument protection.
