The fieldstone building of the village church in Steinhöfel consists of parts from several building eras. The choir was built in the second half of the 13th century. The nave and the tower were built in the 14th and 15th centuries respectively, and the wooden structure finally in 1778. Inside the church there is an impressive interior. Around 1720/30, the artistically painted patron's box, which has now been restored, was donated by Balthasar Dietloff von Wulffen and his wife Louise von Beerfelde. The tombstones of the Wulffen family are in the chancel walls. The tone-in-tone paintings of the box probably come from a Dutch model. The richly decorated altar from the beginning of the 18th century used to have an integrated pulpit basket, which was later removed and in 1909 received a picture of Christ. Another eye-catcher is the painted wooden baptismal font from 1671.
