That of Silence is an enchanting bay that over the centuries has been the chosen land of numerous poets, writers, painters, musicians and scientists. The German composer Richard Wagner, the Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen and the Italian scientist Guglielmo Marconi stayed here, among others. The bay is characterized by a sandy beach with crystal clear water and is one of the ten most beautiful beaches in Italy. It houses a small fishing port and is framed by the colorful houses of Sestri Levante, but also by important historic buildings that make the landscape even more characteristic.
