The current town hall (Dudokpark 1) [18] was built in 1927-'31 in a cubist-expressionist style and is considered the most important work of W.M. dudok. During the route you can view and admire the building from multiple angles.

During the Second World War, the Hilversum Town Hall was the headquarters of the Wehrmacht in the Netherlands. The town hall was then temporarily moved to Hotel Gooiland. The tower of the Town Hall was covered in camouflage material by the German occupiers at that time.
It is possible to get a tour of the town hall, which is very worthwhile. You must register for this. More information about this can be found on the website: www.dudok Architectuurcentrum.nl
