Weekend getaway and so looked for a walk near the hotel. The route was heavier than I expected due to the differences in altitude, so I shortened the original route.
The parts through the forest were beautiful and also nice and quiet, I hardly met anyone. The part along the busier road was not so nice.

Another beautiful alternation of heath and forest. And also the geographical center of the Netherlands. Some parts were heavier due to loose sand or parts that had been washed away by the rain. And the staircase path was also a solid climb upwards.

the planned hike was not possible due to track problems and works. so today a short hike in Meijendel as an alternative.
you could see that the trees were slowly starting to change color again. it was great hiking weather with some sun and wind.
