The history of the post office at the Kerkbrink in Hilversum goes back to 1904. The population growth over the years made expansion necessary. Partly due to the outbreak of the Second World War, this expansion was delayed. The new post office was put into operation on October 1, 1943, with the unveiling of “Copper bird”, manufactured by Jan Kriege.
