While there's no shade here, the floral splendor found along the path is particularly impressive in summer. The unobstructed view also offers beautiful views of the Matscher Valley and the Ortler Massif.

Hiking

I was completely enthusiastic about the Ackerwaal. Very varied route. Simple meadow paths, wooden paths and in many places you walk through a sea of meadow flowers, some as tall as a man. Very sunny, not so good for very hot days. In August 2020 it carried water along the entire route. Very relaxing.
