The core of the parish church of Deining - St. Nikolaus was built in the Gothic style around 1430 and was given a Baroque touch in the first half of the 18th century. The square west tower was only built around 1820 as a replacement for a ridge turret. Today the tower is in urgent need of at least a new coat of paint.
