The dog's head is one of the so-called Salzunger heads. In addition to the Bornkopf, the Hundskopf is also geographically located between Bad Salzungen and Stadtlengsfeld in the Thuringian Rhön. Also from the village Leimbach it is only a few kilometers to the popular excursion area. Attraction for hikers and mountain bikers is namely the same beautiful forest restaurant on the dog's head.
