The origin of the open-air museum and Kulurzentrum began in 1965 with the construction of the Hippotel. The restaurant named "Stiefelreiter" or "Stiefeliryter" was the idea of Anton Achermann sel. Gallery owner, horse lover and art lover. It was intended as a restaurant for Ross and Reiter. And this is the only building built from scratch up here.

April 2017 opens on the site the first game! Golf facility in Switzerland. After the successful renovation of the inn, the owners take over the operation of the entire facility.
