Ideal starting point for hiking and cycling in the area around Masserberg. Real Thuringian cuisine from the "dumpling with sauce" to game and mountain trout. Family run hotel and restaurant, with consistently warm kitchen. Directly at the hotel start different round trips, e.g. to the Werraquelle, to the historic landmarks on the Rennsteig, or to the Rennsteigwarte with a panoramic view of the Thuringian Forest.

Surrounded by the Thuringian Forest in the beautiful climatic health resort of Masserberg lies the cozy Hotel Oberland.
The special thing about the hotel is the fantastic view that you can enjoy from every room as well as from the restaurant. Through the large window front, which extends over the entire hotel exterior, you sit literally in the forest between the trees.
