The Sankt Georg chapel belonging to the hospital of the same name is dated to the first half of the 14th century. The single-aisle brick building is the second oldest building in Neuruppin. At its core it consists partly of half-timbering. A steep gable roof with roof rider covers the building. In 1818 the small church was completely repaired. Around 1915 further renovations were carried out, in which the organ was installed on the gallery. Parts of the medieval furnishings, such as the Gothic winged altar and a bell, are now in the museum.

The chapel “St. Georg” is a hospital chapel built in the first half of the 14th century outside the city walls of Neuruppin. The small, single-nave brick building, whose original construction was replaced by half-timbering after 1450, acquired its current appearance as a result of repeated improvements and, in particular, repairs and walling in 1818. The St. George Chapel is one of four municipal hospital chapels and one of the few surviving medieval buildings in Neuruppin.
