This beautiful bird-watching hut is located at the Derneburg ponds. Since it is not a rest hut, there are no benches inside. A short visit for a curious look over the water surface is worthwhile. In front of it there is also an overview board of the waterfowl.

The Derneburg ponds are located directly on the Innerste cycle path. Here in the lower part of the old Kastanienallee, which leads to the castle, there are not only bicycle racks but also an idyllically situated bench to take a break. If you like, you can look out for birds from the wooden observation platform.
