Beautiful historic brick building with an enchanted garden, makes you want more. Every now and then events of the Network for Culture and Homeland Hildesheimer Land take place in the garden.

The former power station was built in the middle of the 19th century by Count Georg Herbert zu Münster, who was enthusiastic about modern technology. It supplied the entire castle and large parts of Astenbeck with electricity. The turbines have been preserved to this day.
The neat property is now privately owned.
The garden is open to interested visitors on the day of the memorial (2nd Sunday in September).
