Standing at an elevation of 547 meters, this historical site is particularly renowned for its unique and extensive interior artwork, making it a significant landmark in the region.

What truly captivates visitors to St. Luzia Parish Church is the extraordinary interior, transformed by Pastor Christoph März between 1906 and 1921. His meticulous paintings adorn the church with over 1,000 figures and 150 animals, depicting vivid scenes from the Old and New Testaments, alongside rich church history. The use of intense blue and radiant gold creates a striking visual experience, offering a profound sense of devotion and artistic dedication.

The 15th-century Habscheid chapel had St. Luzia as its main patron from 1764. Habscheid was an independent parish from 1808 and came under the Diocese of Trier in 1821. The church, which had been redesigned several times, was almost completely destroyed at the end of the Second World War. In 1948 a new building began, which was expanded again from 1964 to 1965. The church measures 30 × 13 meters inside. It has a wooden ceiling. The tower attached to the side is 28 meters high.
