A wonderful place to pause during your walk. Catch your breath by the water, while looking out at the Den Alerdinck manor. You can also sleep royally on the estate.

From a bench on the water you have a beautiful view of Den Alerdinck, the manor.
De(n) Alerdinck is a manor in Laag Zuthem, a village near Heino in the Overijssel municipality of Raalte. The name was first mentioned around 1500 and probably comes from two farmyards: Groot Alerdinck and Klein Alerdinck.
A manor is a fortified house (castle), homestead, courtyard or farm. Originally it was a name for a large farm with land. In the 17th century the manor was a knightly estate. Possession of this was a condition for membership of a knighthood.
Havezates were found in the county of Zutphen (approximately 40 in the 13th century), in Overijssel (approximately 122) and Drenthe (approximately 18). (source: wikipedia)
