Cycling
A "Hut" is a forest in which people (formerly) kept cattle that fed on the fruit and twigs and sometimes the bark of these trees. This browsing of the trees means that they often develop unusual irregular growth forms. Oaks and beeches are typical hat trees. Here in the Hümmer Hute there are 14 hornbeam trees that are up to 200 years old and apparently also provide good food for animals.
