The stately church towers on a hill.

The Peter and Paul Church was built between 1501 and 1512 by the master builders Stephan Waid and Dionysius Böblinger. The choir has a richly painted net vault, the nave has a decorated beamed ceiling. Among other things, you can see gravestones of the Thumb von Neuburg family, as well as a Renaissance winged altar with Gothic carvings. The tower was built between 1722 and 1724 and provided space for the 32-hundred-pound "Mary's Bell" cast in 1430 by Master Otto from Esslingen.

Johanna and Eugen Stöffler lived and worked here.
Johanna Stöffler (1895-1982) was a "pastor's wife" in the truest sense of the word. At the time she was not yet allowed to study or be ordained, but as the pastor's wife she took on extensive tasks in the community. She was particularly responsible for working with girls and women. As members of the Confessing Church, the family's parsonage offered a safe place for those seeking protection. In addition to persecuted Christians, Jews in hiding also found refuge here. Their daughter Ruth also resisted the Nazi regime and supported her parents. Johanna and Eugen Stöffler have been awarded the honorary title of "Righteous Among the Nations".
The church is usually open. Behind the church, to the left of the kindergarten, is the parsonage where Johanna Stöffler lived with her husband and six children. Address: Kiesweg 59
Stöfflerplatz is on the corner of "Hirschstraße" and "Unterdorfstraße". From the church, go straight ahead along the “Kiesweg” and then turn right into “Hirschstraße”. At the town hall is the “Stöfflerplatz”.
