It is hard to get to it, wherever you go you always have a steep slope, but if you have a minimum of sensitivity you will be able to perceive the energy that flows from that ground that for generations witnessed skirmishes and various outcomes. Breathing that air, smelling, looking and thinking…makes some submerge in a different stage.
It's definitely worth going up there and sitting in absolute silence and listening to nature! 😊

The ruins of Castro Ferral are considered to be of Almohad origin and it was a fundamental enclave during the famous battle of Las Navas de Tolosa, on June 16, 1212. The Christian armies, supported by Crusader knights, Templars and other military orders, took Castro Ferral in their advance towards the territories dominated by Muslim troops. Several days before the famous battle, the vanguard army under the command of Diego López de Haro arrived at Paso de la Losa, but the Arab troops were in an advantageous position. The Christians went up to the port of Muradal, protected by the fortress of Castro Ferral, and helped by the local shepherd Martín Halaja found a path in the mountains through Puerto del Rey and camped in an advantageous position in front of the Muslims in the Mesa del Rey. The rest is history.
