The foundation stone of the castle was laid by Christoph von Carlowitz in 1563. After an eventful history, the artist and architect Pier Giorgio Furlan acquired the manor in 2000. In the same year, the cultural center was founded, which is used by the support group "Centro Arte Monte Onore". Since then, a wide range of cultural events have taken place on the former manor.

Hiking

The cultural center is open during the week from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and on weekends only when events are taking place or on request. The current program can also be found on the support group's website. Worth seeing is the small museum on the history of the manor and castle, the "Girasole" gallery with changing exhibitions, and the castle park with its amphitheater-style stage.
