The St. Antonis chapel is in the district of Eyll. It is characterized by a simple, single-nave brick building that closes on three sides towards the altar.

The chapel may have been founded in the 15th century. However, the existing building was not erected until 1753, as the gibel inscription "ANNO 1753 DEN 21 MEI SINT ANTONI" shows. A repair took place in the years 1970 and 71.

Inside, the wooden altar from the last half of the 18th century in brown-red and beige is particularly interesting. The associated tabernacle was added around 1800.

Two representations of the Mother of God from the late 15th century and 1480, as well as other representations of St. Anthony and St. Michael, together with the altar cross and some paintings depicting, for example, the temptation of St. Anthony, are further examples of the chapel's furnishings worth seeing in Eyll.

The monthly service still draws many parishioners, especially from Eyll, to the chapel. The 39 cm high, 47 cm in diameter and 60 kg heavy bell from 1772 rings at the service. The bell bears the inscription "Alexius Petit en Henricus synen zon."

I've driven past here many times but never to the chapel. I'll probably plan a tour where I'll go to the chapel.
