1465: Donation of a house and croft to the Franciscan sisters by Duke Adolf von Geldern, at the same time approval for the construction of a chapel with a bell tower and a separate churchyard by the priest of Aldekerk.

In 1467 the monastery church in Aldekerk was consecrated as a house chapel. It has burned down or been destroyed several times, but has always been rebuilt and used for religious services.

1802/1804: In the course of secularization, the monastery, the buildings and the land ownership were abolished.

The church was completely renovated for the 500th anniversary in 1967 and is now attached to the Magdalene Home Aldekerk of the parish of St. Dionysius Kerken.

Worth seeing inside the monastery church are, among other things, the restored church windows from 1520/1530 with Saint Sebastian and the donor family of Jan van Eyll on Haus Gastendonk, altarpiece of the parish church of St. Peter and Paul from 1684, the nuns' gallery with stucco work from 1776 and choir windows from 1913 from the Derix glass painting workshop, Kevelaer.
