According to a press release from the city of Emsdetten on March 26th, 2021, the bridge has been completed. The bridge is to be opened for pedestrians and cyclists in week 13. The bridge will be opened to motorized traffic in about 2 weeks.

The new bridge in Hembergen is finished and wonderful to drive on. A nice connection for Saerbeck / Emsdetten / Greven / Reckenfeld and the neighboring villages. Very idyllic place, great inn and a beautiful little church.
